March on Colfax, meet the Mayor and attend the African American Heritage rodeo at the National Western Stock Show on MLK Day.

DENVER, CO – Monday, Jan. 21 will mark the 33rd anniversary in Colorado of the holiday honoring Rev. Martin Luther King, Junior. Denver will be out in force with the annual "Marade" – a mashup of march and parade – that organizers boast is the only event of its kind in the nation.

The annual event is sponsored by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Colorado Holiday Commission.

The Marade will proceed along Colfax Avenue, starting with a program at 9:30 a.m. in City Park near the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 'I Have A Dream' Memorial. At 10:45 a.m. sharp, the Marade will proceed south out of the park via the Esplanade Street to Colfax Avenue; then west on Colfax Avenue to Sherman Street into the State Capitol grounds; then south to Broadway, where it ends at Civic Center Park.
