DENVER, CO – In spring-like weather, the 2019 National Western Stockshow Kickoff Parade swept through downtown Denver Jan. 10, starting at Union Station and running down 17th Street.

Grand Marshall Denver urban developer and preservationist Dana Crawford led the parade, with a group of dignitaries on horseback, including Mayor Michael Hancock.

Most of the livestock on the main parts of the parade were horses, either being ridden or pulling wagons or carriages, except for a troop of alpacas, the CSU ram mascot and a pair of burros.
