Snow Alert: Accumulation Up to 3 Inches Expected Overnight
Get ready, Denver, for a temperature drop and snow up to three inches along the Front Range and more in the mountains and foothills.

DENVER, CO – Put away those shorts and flip flops. Snow is on the way, and may accumulate up to three inches overnight Thursday into Friday along the Front Range, Denver and along I-25, the National Weather Service reported.
After temps in the 60s on Thursday, a winter storm system will be moving over the state on Friday, Jan. 11, producing snow across the mountains, the Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide and parts of the northeast plains, the NWS said.
Expect snow accumulations of several inches in the mountains and foothills that could affect travel from Friday morning through early Saturday.

The Colorado Department of Transportation warned drivers to prepare for weather-related delays on Friday morning, and warned that CDOT snowplows will be on the roads.
Lower snow accumulations of a few inches on the plains may cause wet or slippery roads along the I-25 corridor from northern Denver suburbs southward across Douglas County. Snow will diminish Friday night over the area with dry conditions returning on Saturday. The remainder of the period should drier and milder conditions with no hazardous weather.
