Summer Campers at Merryhill Preschools in Denver Area Donate More Than 100 Pet Supply Items to Local Shelter

Campers collected pet supplies for a local humane society

Summer campers at Merryhill Preschool in Castle Rock and Lone Tree recently held a donation drive to collect pet supplies for Humane Colorado, a local animal shelter dedicated to ending pet homelessness and animal suffering. Together, campers and their families collected bedding, bowls, food, and other items for animals in the shelter.

Merryhill Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
