Teen's Killer Sought By Denver Police

DENVER, CO – Denver police are searching for leads in the mid-morning shooting death of a teen near playing fields in the Valverde neighborhood. Police and Crime Stoppers are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer or killers.

Bryan DeHerrera, 16, was found wounded around 9:20 a.m on. April 11 near the West Bar Val Wood Park playing fields in the 100 block of South Yuma Street. He was taken to a hospital, but later died of his injuries.

Bryan attended "Barnum Elementary School as a child, West Leadership in middle school and most recently was a student at Colorado High School Charter," according to his obituary. Services will be held in Lakewood on April 22.
