University of Denver Kicks Off Finals Week with a 90’s-Themed Feast
The dining area was transformed into a tribute to the 90s, with each of DU Dining's eight stations showcasing a different theme from the era

The University of Denver Dining team celebrated the end of the Fall quarter with a nostalgic twist, hosting a Finals Feast that transported students back to the 1990s. Held at the Grand Central Market on Wednesday, November 13, from 9:00 to 10:30 p.m., the event offered a festive way for students to relax and enjoy a break before diving into finals week.
The dining area was transformed into a tribute to the 90s, with each of DU Dining’s eight stations showcasing a different theme from the era. Highlights included tributes to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Clueless, and popular 90s cartoons. The event also featured nods to Hot Wheels, iconic 90s slang, and chart-topping hits from the decade. Decorations and music set the tone, immersing students in a full retro experience.
The menu reflected the playful 90s vibe, offering a mix of nostalgic favorites like corn dogs, Sunny D, Hot Pockets, and Dip ‘n Dots. Additional activities, such as lanyard making and cup stacking, added to the engaging atmosphere. Some members of the DU Dining team even embraced the theme by dressing in 90s-inspired outfits.
