• State seeks developer for 41 acres by Golden golf course (businessden.com subscription) — State officials are seeking a developer to build 300–400 homes, including at least 80 income-restricted units, on 41 acres of state-owned land next to Fossil Trace Golf Club in Golden. The long-term lease project, one of the last large developable sites in town, could add a mix of single-family homes, small multifamily buildings, and community amenities near Lookout Mountain.
   

• Colorado family searches for answers after dog is stolen from Golden home (cbsnews.com) — A Golden family is urgently searching for their missing dog Bugsy, who was reportedly stolen from their backyard while relatives cared for him and their child. Neighbors also reported a stolen bike later seen in Wheat Ridge with a dog resembling Bugsy, and the family is offering up to a $1,000 reward as the community helps spread the word.
   

• Denver Water rates increase (denvergazette.com) — Denver Water customers, including those near Golden, will see small rate increases this year to fund major system upgrades. Part of the $1.7 billion investment will expand the Northwater treatment plant just north of Golden, along with main replacements and lead reduction work.
