• The Financial District (goldentoday.com) — A look back 70 years shows how Golden’s downtown banking corner evolved from small homes into what was dubbed the city’s “Financial District.” First National Bank moved from 12th and Washington, now Golden Goods, while Golden Savings and Loan opened across Jackson Street, with both institutions later changing hands.
