Disappearance Of Gail Wilson: 2 Arrested, Including Family Member

LAKEWOOD, CO — Two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of 81-year-old Lakewood resident Gail Wilson, police announced Friday. Investigators believe Wilson may have been killed.

Ricardo Gonzalez Perez, 35, and Savannah Nicole Wilson, 25, were taken into custody Thursday, Lakewood police said. Perez faces first-degree murder charges and Wilson faces accessory to first-degree murder charges.

Savannah Wilson is Gail Wilson's relative, according to multiple news outlets and social media posts. In one post, she asks for the public's help in finding her father. Some outlets report that she is his daughter, but she may be his great niece, FOX 31 reports. She and Perez work for the same company, according to social media reports.

Gail Wilson was last heard from at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 31, police said. His truck was driven into downtown Denver around 3:30 p.m., and the vehicle contained a rolled-up carpet, a tall white laundry hamper and black trash bags, street cameras show.

"These items, likely containing the body of Wilson, were dumped in numerous areas in the vicinity of Colfax/Broadway/6th/York, sometime between 3:00 pm-5:00pm on 10/31/21," a missing person alert read.

The truck, a 1997 red Ford F-150, was found Friday in the 1600 block of Irving Street in Denver.

He is described as 5-feet, 6 inches tall, around 180 lbs, with grey hair and hazel eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a red hoodie.
