Alyssa Trujillo Named New Executive Director at Lakewood Reserve

Juniper Communities welcomes Alyssa Trujillo to its management team as Executive Director of Lakewood Reserve, A Juniper Senior Living Community. Built in 1999, the 112,516 square foot, three-story community consists of 118 assisted living units and 19 memory care units. Prior to being appointed as executive director, she worked at Lakewood Reserve as the Wellspring Director and at the sister property, Applewood Place as the external marketer and clinical liaison.

Trujillo will be overseeing many exciting changes to Lakewood Reserve over the next several months including the introduction of new programs and staff training, as well as major renovations to the community.

“Our goal is to make Lakewood Reserve the best choice for senior living and assisted living in Lakewood,” expressed Alyssa Trujillo.

Alyssa’s passion for healthcare started as a young girl when she volunteered at a local nursing home in the activities department. It was then too that she discovered her interest in working with individuals who were memory impaired. She continued volunteering throughout high school and eventually became a Recreation Therapy Director. Post-college she worked in a senior living community in the Denver area leading a recreation team that was state deficiency free for four consecutive years.

She currently resides in Castle rock, CO where she and her husband enjoy hunting, hiking, camping, fishing, travelling or spending time with family. Alyssa is also a skilled violinist.
