Casa Bonita Hiring: Cliff Divers & Sword Fighters Wanted

If swordplay and slick diving moves are your thing, there's a job for you at Lakewood's most iconic Mexican restaurant.

LAKEWOOD, CO – If spending the winter in tropical surroundings and splashing in waterfalls is your thing, you could move to the Caribbean. Or you could get a job as a cliff diver at Casa Bonita in Lakewood.

The Casa Bonita Dive Team is hiring at the iconic Lakewood Mexican-themed restaurant and amusement center at 6715 W. Colfax. According to a Craigslist ad, first spotted by the Denver Post's The Know crew, part-time divers are paid $14 hourly and "Must be 18 years or older and willing to sword fight as a pirate atop a waterfall, get fake-stabbed and plummet 30 feet into the pool."

To audition, you must be able to perform a "1 1/2 somersault dive, inward dive, swan dive and back layout dive" at the restaurant's indoor waterfall pool. Divers must be able to work Friday through Sunday.

The over-the-top Mexican restaurant opened in a mall in 1974 and has been a Denver-area institution for decades on West Colfax Avenue.
