  1. Colorado lawmakers proposed a bill to allow for safe drug-use sites in Denver. The sites would allow drug users to use supervision from mental health professionals and public health experts. (Greeley Tribune)
  2. After the two consecutive shootings at East High School, the district called for extra mental health help in addition to an increased police presence. A month since the request, the school has yet to receive the expected additional psychologists and therapists. (9 News)
  3. A bill that would both prohibit medical professionals from using BMI when considering quality of care and that sale of over-the-counter diet pills to minors has advanced through lawmakers at the state capitol. The bill has been rallied for by The Eating Disorder Foundation in hopes to prevent young people from developing eating illnesses. (Fox 31)
  4. The Denver Animal Shelter has seen a spike in abandoned dogs recently. How to help? Look for alternative ways to surrender a pet if needed or adopt/foster a dog from the shelter if able. (9 News)
