Find A Career In the Great Outdoors At RRCC Jobs Fair
More than 40 agencies, organizations and employers will attend the RRCC Outdoor Leadership Career Fair.

LAKEWOOD, CO – It may be mid-winter, but it's never too early to start thinking about Colorado's great outdoors. If you're dreaming of a leadership career working outdoors in the Centennial State, employers are looking for you.
Red Rocks Community College will be hosting its 4rd Annual RRCC Outdoor Education and Park Ranger Career Fair on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and takes place at the Lakewood campus at 13300 W 6th Avenue.
This year's event is bigger than ever, with more than 40 agencies, organizations and employers attending. They will be looking for qualified employees, interns and volunteers for both full time or seasonal jobs in Colorado's outdoors or as a park ranger.

Companies attending will include:
- Rocky Mountain National Park,
- Outward Bound
- NOLS
- Avid4 Adventure
- Boulder County Parks and Open Space
- Women’s Wilderness Institute
- Thorne Nature Experience
- and more.
RRCC offers an Outdoor Education program with a "experiential, hands-on education for students wishing to pursue an associate of arts degree with an emphasis in outdoor education," the community college said in a press release. Some of the certifications offered by RRCC include Intro to Outdoor Leadership (Warren Tech), Outdoor Professional (Guiding), Outdoor Industry Business/Management, and Wilderness Therapy Specialist.

The community college, with a second campus in Arvada, also offers a Park Ranger Technology Program leading to "careers in natural resource protection, interpretation, and management, law enforcement, natural resource interpretation, public safety services and outdoor recreation/education."
