  1. The House Democrats limited the Saturday night debate to an hour. The debate was regarding a proposed gun bill. Limiting the time of a debate is within the power of the House's majority party, although it is not a rare move. The party opted to limit the debate to prevent a filibuster and delay to the bill's passage. (Fox 31)
  2. Lakewood Cultural Center is presenting a musical performance called "Blind Visionaries," which is based off the photography of visually-impaired artists. Administrator Rita Sommers says, "This is an event that will make you question everything you think you know about creative endeavors and what it means to have an artistic 'eye.'" (My Prime Time News)
  3. Following the East High School shooting, students and staff demonstrated at the State Capitol in Denver. They staged a sit-in, where they were joined by law-makers, and eventually met with chief of staff Alec Garnett. (Patch)
  4. The victim of a fatal hit-and-run has been identified by her family, who call her their families' "North Star." The victim, Starr Martinez, was a mother, step-mother and grandmother. A GoFundMe has been set up to aid the family in these hard times. (Fox 31)
