  1. A propose Colorado bill regarding immigration has passed through the House and is now assigned to Senate Judiciary. The bill would make it illegal for local and state governments to create immigration detention agreements. It would also end any agreements that already exist. (Fox 31)
  2. Denver police officer Ryan Roybal has been charged with felony theft. Roybal was charged after allegedly collecting income for hours he did not work at his off-duty job as a security officer on South Colorado Boulevard. He allegedly received $75 per hour for almost 118 hours he was scheduled to work but did not. (9 News)
  3. In 2022, Colorado saw more annual deaths due to traffic crashes than it had in the four decades prior. 21% of these crashes involved a DUI, which Colorado sees more of than the national average. (Fox 31)
  4. The Festival de Bichos began yesterday and runs until Sunday, with chef Jose Avila of La Diabla serving up bugs and other unique Mexican dishes. Avila says of his meals, "A lot of people have no idea what it is, let alone with different flavors, or the whole-animal barbacoa. So in a way, I want to introduce people to new foods, like Yucatan foods." (The Denver Post)
