- LaDazhia Williams of Louisiana State University's basketball team is an alum of Lakewood Ranch High. Williams will visit the White House with the rest of her team to celebrate their March Madness win. (Yahoo News)
- While snowflakes might have shocked locals yesterday morning, April actually is the region's second most snowy month on average. Unfortunately, there is a possibility of the snow sticking around for a few more weeks. Last year, the last day of snowfall was May 21. (Fox 31)
