LAKEWOOD, CO — The city of Lakewood will celebrate Earth Day from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, with events ranging from live music to compost workshops, fitness activities and more.

The celebration will take place at the Lakewood Heritage Center, 801 S. Yarrow St. It will include:

  • Electronics Recycling: Recycle your old or broken electronics from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 777 S. Yarrow St. After you recycle, head next door to the Earth Day Celebration!
  • Sustainable Backyard: Find out how you can create your own. Learn about animal husbandry (and pet sheep and goats!), sign the pledge to make your yard bee and pollinator friendly, watch a demonstration on wool spinning and find out how to go zero waste at home.
  • Beer Garden: All proceeds will go to Jovial Concepts, a local non-profit organization committed to community and stewardship.
  • Food Trucks: Grab a bite to eat from a Colorado food truck while you listen to the music and enjoy the beer garden. We'll have tasty menus from Farmer in the Hive, the Real Deal Juices and Tilford's Wood Fired Pizza.
