Lakewood Mayor Chosen To Chair Regional Group
Adam Paul will chair the Metro Mayors Caucus, which includes 40 mayors from the Denver area.

LAKEWOOD, CO – Housing and transportation were identified as the toughest issues facing metro Denver's 40 local mayors who belong to the Metro Mayors Caucus. And Lakewood Mayor Adam Paul is just the person the caucus wants at the helm while they discuss, "the most pressing concerns facing the region in 2019."
“Housing and transportation problems aren’t easy to solve, and they affect the lives of our residents every day,” Paul said in a statement. “I’m honored and energized to serve as chairman of this important organization that can lead the way in tackling these issues.”
At the group's January retreat, Arvada Marc Williams and Lone Tree Mayor Jackie Millet were selected as vice chairs.

The caucus was formed in 1993 to get regional cooperation on large problems that affect the entire metro area. The group also encourages local mayors to develop relationships with legislators to attempt to have input into lawmaker policy.
Other organizations that take a regional look at the area are Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Area Agency on Aging.
