  1. The metro Denver area is the sixth most polluted American city, as reported by the American Lung Association. This public health issue can cause a variety of issues: low birth rates, early births, heart attacks, strokes, asthma and cancer. (The Denver Post)
  2. Yesterday was the 24th memorial remembrance of the Columbine School shooting. The mass shooting, which occurred in 1999, took the lives of 12 students and one teacher. (Fox 31)
  3. The I-70 was backed up going westbound yesterday near Wheat Ridge. The backup was the result of a pedestrian getting hit by a car around noon. (Fox 31)
  4. Karl A. Sanchez, 52, has been sentenced to four years in prison for elder neglect. His charges include theft from an at-risk person and neglect resulting in serious bodily injury to an at-risk individual. (9 News)
