  1. Denver mayoral candidates Mike Johnston and Kelly Brough are likely headed towards a runoff vote in June. Expected voter turnout was 158,000 voters. In a similar situation, Colorado Springs mayoral election also appears headed towards a runoff later this spring. (Colorado Politics)
  2. Teenage students from Lakewood and the surrounding areas walked out of school yesterday afternoon as an activist call for gun reform. A student from Lakewood High School reached out to the media, saying "The leading cause in deaths of students are firearms and the ill regulation from government has caused students to be afraid to go to school and that shouldn't be the way it is." (Denver 7)
  3. After being closed due to a shooting, US 36 has reopened in both directions. Shots were fired at and by police officers during a car chase, but no deputies were injured in the incident. (9 News)
  4. Wheat Ridge Police are issuing tickets for expired license plates during traffic stops. From the date of expiration, drivers have one month to renew the car's registration. (FOX 31 Denver)
