Here are the top four stories today in Lakewood:

  1. Drug residue from individuals doing meth in public bathrooms has closed down libraries in Boulder and three Denver suburbs. The suburban libraries are located in Littleton, Englewood and Arvada. (The Denver Post)
  2. Two trucks collided on the eastbound I-76 just after midnight on Tuesday morning. No injuries have been reported. (News Channel Nebraska)
  3. With pandemic emergency funding shrinking, eviction filings in Denver are growing. Zach Neumann of the Colorado Economic Defense Project explained,"Emergency Rental Assistance was an incredibly powerful tool to keep people in their homes, and now that the State portal is closed and that has become significantly less accessible, it is much, much harder to stop evictions."   4. The HOV ramp on the I-25 southbound was closed for a section of yesterday "due to police activity," in the words of The Colorado Department of Transportation. The person on the overpass, which was the cause of the closure, was hospitalized yesterday afternoon. (The Denver Post)
