More CARES Act Small Business Relief Grants Announced In Lakewood
Lakewood has reopened a second round of CARES Act small business relief grants.
LAKEWOOD, CO — In a second round of grants, Lakewood small businesses are set to receive more than $2.5 million in funding from the city's COVID-19 Business Relief and Recovery Grant Program. The funds are a portion of the $12.3 million that Lakewood received from CARES Act federal relief funds. Applications for the latest program opened Friday.
In the first round of Lakewood's CARES Act program, businesses were awarded grants that ranged from $3,000 to $30,000. Additional $3,000 grants are available for Lakewood businesses that did not receive a grant in round 1, officials said.
To be eligible, businesses must employ 25 or fewer employees, need to be in Lakewood and must have a current Lakewood business license and registration with the state, officials said.

More than 280 businesses were selected to receive grants from the initial application process in June.

All grants in round 2 will be $3,000 grants awarded to eligible applicants, officials said.
