New Hotel Opens Near Federal Center In Lakewood
The 128-room Fairfield Inn & Suites opened in Union Square near St. Anthony's Hospital and Federal Center.

LAKEWOOD, CO – A new 128-room hotel and extended stay officially opened in Lakewood's Union Square neighborhood this week.
The "Fairfield by Marriott Denver West Federal Center" was built on a two-acre parcel formerly owned by Simon, the owner of the Colorado Mills Mall.
The hotel was developed by Provo, Utah-based DCC and will be managed by Provo-based Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group, a press release said.

The hotel was financed, in part, by a $1.18 million C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) program loan and designed to "exceed local energy-efficiency standards," the company said in a statement.
The hotel's developers say the location was picked because it is within walking distance to the Denver Federal Center, St. Anthony's Hospital, and the Federal Center RTD Light Rail Station while being only a few miles from the Red Rocks Amphitheater and National Renewable Energy Labs.
