• DNA on glove links suspect to murder, arson at home of 83-year-old victim (9news.com) — Lakewood police arrested a 41-year-old man after an 83-year-old woman was found dead in her ransacked South Kendall Street home, where multiple fires had been set. Investigators say DNA from a partially burned glove tied the suspect to the scene, and he now faces murder, arson, burglary and parole violation charges while held in Jefferson County jail.

• SUV driver from Denver arrested in school bus crash that hospitalized Central Valley HS wrestling students (denver7.com) — Lakewood police arrested a 22-year-old Denver man after a high-speed SUV crash into a school bus at Kipling Street and West 6th Avenue injured multiple Central High School wrestling team members and others. Sixteen people were hospitalized, and the driver now faces vehicular homicide and several other serious charges as injured students continue recovering.
