“This donation is part of our ongoing commitment to give back to the greater community,” said Mandy Hampton, chief operating officer for The Ridge Senior Living. “This Paws for a Cause event promoted the active lifestyle of our residents and gave them the opportunity to connect with a new furry friend.”

Studies show adopting a pet can be a great way for seniors to keep active in mind and body, which is heavily promoted at The Ridge Pinehurst. The community has plans to continue its relationship with the organization and will enjoy on-site visits with the sheltered pets.
