Peruse 'Beautiful Junk' At Mega Rummage Sale For Action Center
The Action Center's annual 2-day MEGA thrift sale with thousands of items takes place in March at the JeffCo Fairgrounds.
LAKEWOOD, CO – One person's Marie Kendo purge item is another's "Beautiful Junk." You can find treasures discarded by others at the Action Center's bi-annual MEGA thrift sale next month at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall at 15200 W 6th Ave Frontage Rd. in Golden.
The dates of the sale are Friday, Mar. 15 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday, Mar, 16 from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The twice-a-year sale features 10,500 square feet of donated goods for sale in an event which calls itself the "largest rummage sale in Colorado." One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale benefit The Action Center, a Jefferson County non-profit, "dedicated to meeting basic needs, restoring hope, and transforming the lives of Jefferson County residents in need or those experiencing homelessness."

“We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of our community, your year round donations of new and gently used clothing, household and personal care item enable us to consistently meet the critical needs of our participants and to support our ongoing programs and services through this important fundraiser,” said Pam Brier, executive director, in a statement.

General admission is buy one, get one FREE for $5 – bring your friend and they get in free with your paid admission. Children 16 and under are free. For junk spelunkers that want to get a jump start on shopping, there is an Early Bird Shopping period, Friday, March 16 at 7 a.m. with an admission fee of $30 – all proceeds benefit The Action Center. Cash at the door is appreciated. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for purchases.
