- A girl who allegedly robbed a mailman at gunpoint was shot and killed by Lakewood police on Monday. An officer was injured during the incident, but is not facing life-threatening wounds. (The Colorado Sun)
- The Denver Sustainable Food Policy Council (SFPC) is now open for new member applications. The organization focuses on keeping local food systems sustainable. Applications will be accepted until April 17. (Westword)
- Reginald Maclaren, 81, of Englewood has admitted to killing his wife and daughter to prevent them from becoming homeless, as the family was running out of money. While allegedly employed by Hospital Shared Services, Maclaren worked closely with homeless people and didn't want his family to experience the hardships associated with homelessness. - Two lions that were born at the Denver Zoo are being relocated. The 2-year-old and 3-year-old male lions are moving locations as part of the species survival plan. (The Denver Post)
