Here are the top stories in Lakewood today:

  1. With the rainy weather, potholes are growing in the metropolitan area. Residents are asked to report potholes so that they can be addressed by officials. For the southwest metro Denver region, potholes can be reported to 970-385-1423. Residents are also urged to check which roads are closed due to maintenance before beginning their commute.   2. Yesterday morning, the eastbound I-70 saw lane closures due to a crash involving a semi-truck. The truck crashed into a barrier for a construction zone, which resulted in fuel spill. The road was closed near Colorado Mills Parkway. Learn more through CBS Colorado.
  3. Roughly 2,000 local households experienced a power outage due to faulty wiring. The outage affected southwest metro Denver on Tuesday morning, including houses in Lakewood. Power was restored by early afternoon. Visit The Denver Post to find out more.
