  1. While the latest mayoral election heads to runoff, Ranked Choice Voting for Colorado is becoming more popular. With ranked-choice voting, voters rank all candidates and calculations continue until a candidate wins the majority of votes. For now, Kelly Brough and Mike Johnston are on the ballot for a June 6 runoff election. (The Denver Post)
  2. To help with employment in psychiatric hospitals, Colorado is offering nurses $14,000 sign-on bonuses. "We can't run a state psychiatric hospital without nurses," The Director of the Office of Civil and Forensic Mental Health Leora Joseph, said. (Axios)
  3. Denver's initial Quiznos has officially closed after being open since 1981. The location has closed due to unpaid sales taxes in the amount of $12,341. (Fox 31)
  4. Gas prices in Colorado rose 13 cents in the past week. The average gallon in the state now costs $3.57. The cheapest gas in Lakewood is at the Conoco, where a gallon is $2.99. (Fox 31)
