  1. Thursday morning's cold set new records, with temperatures dropping to -11 degrees in Denver. With the windchill, temperatures felt like -25 to -35 degrees in some places. A wind chill advisory was in place for most of the metro Denver area, including Lakewood. (7 Denver ABC)
  2. This weekend, a church in Littleton is buying back guns that they will, with the help of non-profit RAWTools, turn into gardening tools. Those who bring guns will receive payment in the form of grocery store gift cards. Founder of RAWTools, Mike Martin, comments on his non-profit's purpose, saying "We can take things, objects, tools that have hurt and are continuing to hurt our communities and turn them into something that will cultivate life." (CBS Colorado)
  3. The Denver Public School district is talking about different possible responses to the critically declining enrollment. Right now, closures, merges, and phasing out grades are all being discussed by Superintendent Alex Marrero. Each hosting less than 120 students, Denver Discovery, The Math and Science Leadership Academy and Fairview Elementary are the three districts schools with the lowest enrollment. (9 News)
  4. Yuan Wonton, Pho King Rapidos and Sweets & Sourdough, three woman-owned food trucks, are collaborating on one new Denver storefront. These three different businesses will operate out of the store-front on different days, with the goal of supporting each other's small businesses and reaching a true work-life balance. The storefront will open in Denver’s Park Hill. (Denver Post)
