- Denver and the surrounding area will be under a Red Flag Warning from 11 AM until 8 PM today. This means there is critical fire weather and residents should avoid any type of outdoor burning or spark-producing. (9 News)
- One of the finalists for the prestigious culinary James Beard Award is Denver's own Michael Diaz de Leon. Diaz de Leon is a chef at downtown's BRUTØ. Winners will be announced on June 5. (Fox 31)
- A Denver 15-year-old was charged yesterday for the attempted murder of a local police officer. Nobody was injured and the suspect is under police custody. (Fox 31)
- In an uncommon trend, Denver luxury apartment complexes are allowing tenants to rent out rooms or entire apartments as part-time AirBNBs. This worries some tenants such as Matt Watkajtys at the Denver's Golden Triangle who says landlords "don’t have any incentive at that point to ever lower rent, because this is a desirable area. If they can just turn into a de facto hotel, why deal with tenants?" (The Denver Post)
