  1. The Lakewood City Council has voted on a new license for short-term rentals in the city of Lakewood. This license will regulate those renting out primary residences as short-term rental spaces, which has been occurring in the area for years without close monitoring or guidelines. The new terms for these rentals will go into affect on September 1. (CBS Colorado)
  2. Denver's new city trash fee will be charged to apartment complexes, even if they opt for other waste management programs. The fee will cover services that used to be included in property taxes, such as hazardous waste disposal and Christmas tree recycling. It seems likely that these new fees will be passed onto renters rather than covered by landlords. (9 News)
  3. Of the 17 politicians running for Denver's mayoral office, two stand out in terms of funding. Kelly Brough and Mike Johnston, with $1.71 million and $1.66 million of respective funding, have more money backing their campaigns than others running. (The Denver Post)
  4. Although today and yesterday bring warm spring temperatures, temperatures will drop later in the week. Metro Denver shouldn't see much of a storm, but some snow may accumulate this Thursday. (Fox 31)
