Here are the top stories in Lakewood today:

1. Michael James Kennedy, 59, has been arrested for allegedly threatening U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse through repetitive phone calls. Neguse is a Black democrat from Boulder. Kennedy is facing two felony charges for stalking and retaliation against an elected official. He is also facing a misdemeanor charge of bias-motivated crime. (9 News)
2. This tax season, Colorado residents can track their tax return through the Colorado Department of Revenue’s revenue online service. The last day to file this year is April 18. (Fox 31)
3. With record-breaking temperatures hitting Colorado this month, some of the Denver metropolitan area is under fire watch. Some of the most important things for residents of these designated areas to do is obey burn bans and bag up their trash. (Fox 31)
4. Two serious hit-and-run accidents have occurred this week. The first happened Sunday on East Colfax Avenue. The second happened two days prior on North Perry Street and West 16th Avenue. (9 News)
