Upcoming Roadwork In Lakewood: Overview Of Projects

LAKEWOOD, CO — Overnight roadwork is underway on some of Lakewood's main arteries. Construction crews are drilling utility test holes and installing gas service.

The city of Lakewood has allowed construction at nighttime for the following projects:

• Construction is underway on Sheridan Boulevard from West Colfax to West 17th avenues for an Excel Energy gas utility project. Crews are drilling test holes to find utilities. The project is expected to wrap up Sept. 25.
• Crews are going into utility holes to splice cable at South Wadsworth Boulevard and West Alaska Avenue. The project is expected to wrap up Wednesday.
• Crews are installing gas service to 1975 S. Webster St., with the tie-in to the main in South Wadsworth Boulevard north of West Evans Avenue. The work is scheduled to wrap up Wednesday.

• Test holes are being drilled to find existing utilities at Wadsworth Boulevard from West Woodard to West Vassar avenues for an upcoming electric undergrounding project for Xcel Energy. The work is also set to wrap up Wednesday.
