From oriental rugs and draperies to a new dry-cleaning delivery app, Battiston’s of Avon has it covered. Michael discusses this and more with Patch.


Patch: Battiston’s dry-cleaning services are just one phone call away. How does the on-call service work? What can new clients look forward to?


Maulucci: We are always trying to make our services as accommodating as possible. And to make it easier for our current and new customers to take advantage of everything we have to offer, Battiston’s is now launching our very own app: The Batt Phone, available now on Android and IOS. With “The Batt Phone,” our goal is to make it simple and easy for anyone to view our services, ask for more information or sign up for anything from our free home delivery to our will call service.




Patch: What about residents who can’t be home to pick up their dry-cleaning? How do you accommodate these clients?


Maulucci: Our services extend to home and office pickup and delivery. Our goal is to make Battiston’s services as accommodating as possible. Everyone has different circumstances, and our route service reps are more than willing to make specific arrangements with you regarding time, place and location of your delivery.


Patch: Battiston’s boasts a three-day turnaround. Can you tell us what that means?


Maulucci: The three-day turnaround is specifically for our pickup and delivery service. Items picked up on Monday will be delivered on Thursday, and Tuesday items are returned on Friday. In store, we offer same-day service for items at no additional cost.


Patch: Oriental rugs and draperies create a certain atmosphere of elegance, but they also require a high standard of maintenance. How does Battiston’s take care of these aesthetic tapestries?


Maulucci: Each rug and drapery item are examined and treated individually. Most rugs and draperies are made by hand rather than manufactured, and at Battiston’s, each item is cleaned, restored and repaired by hand. Usually, draperies have been professionally installed, so it is important that, if you would like us to reinstall your draperies, we come to your home and take them down professionally so we can reinstall them correctly.

Our cleaning process greatly extends the life of your draperies, which is why we recommend treating them every two years. This eliminates any risk of shrinkage or color loss that can occur from in home cleaning and prolonged light exposure.


Patch: Battiston’s of Avon is a family effort. You, your father and your brother are the captains of your own proverbial ship. What’s it like working with family?


Maulucci: We are always trying to put our best foot forward. We feel satisfied when we can exceed our customer’s expectations on any item that they bring to us. We all have our priorities, but at the same time, we try not to take ourselves too seriously and learn to value our family relationship and the relationship with our customers.

Maulucci: The Batt Phone app is updated daily with specials and offers that are only available on the app. From there, it’s easy to sign up or ask for information about any of our services. No job is too big or too small.
