Avon officials said all town offices, public works, the senior center, the landfill, and the library will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13, in observance of the Columbus Day holiday weekend. <a href="https://www.avon.k12.ct.us/district/calendars/all_schools_calendar" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Avon Public Schools</a> are also closed for the day on Monday. Officials said that on Saturday, Oct. 11: <ul><li>The landfill will be open regular hours, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.</li><li>The Avon Free Public Library will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.</li></ul>
