Avon Forum To Tackle Issue Of Dementia

It will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Avon Free Public Library.

AVON, CT— A special forum entitled "A Community Conversation about Dementia" will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m.

The free program does require registration in advance, with guests invited to bring a friend to this much-needed conversation with Erica DeFrancesco, from LiveWell Dementia Care Specialists out of Southington.

She will facilitate a conversation with individuals living well with dementia about the signs and symptoms they have and continue to experience, their experience with their diagnosis of dementia, and the opportunities that have brought them purpose through their participation in the Empowering Partnerships Network.

The Empowering Partnerships Network is diverse group of partners that connect and influence dementia research and innovation, advocacy, and awareness.

DeFrancesco has a background in occupational therapy and is the director of community education at LiveWell.
