Avon Residents Invited To Virtual Solar Power Forum Tonight

It is the final event in the Avon Clean Energy Commission's PowerSmart Campaign.

AVON, CT — The final event in the Avon Clean Energy Commission’s PowerSmart Campaign will be a virtual presentation from a key, statewide official on solar energy.

Mike Trahan, executive director of the Connecticut Solar and Storage Association, will be speaking on the CT Energy Network (CTEN) on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The presentation will focus on recent federal legislation that will eliminate federal tax credits for renewable energy projects beginning as soon as Dec. 31.

Persons interested in adding solar and/or battery storage to their homes are strongly encouraged to attend.
