Avon Scouts To Take Care Of Those Bottles/Cans
Avon Boy Scout Troop 74 is hosting a bottle/can drive on Saturday to benefit the troop's regular summer camp trips.
AVON, CT — Summer's over, and now, there's that massive bag of bottles and cans that you've accumulated over the weeks.
Well, let a group of Avon Boy Scouts take care of that for you.
Avon Boy Scout Troop 74 is hosting another one of its regular bottle/can drives this Saturday, Sept. 6.

Scouts will be at the West Avon Congregational Church, 280 Country Club Road, from 8 a.m. to noon that day.
"Friendly and courteous scouts will unload all your redeemable bottles and cans from your vehicle, sort them, and get them recycled," wrote the troop in an announcement.

"No waiting in line to return them or dealing with full or broken machines. Scouts will do all that for you."
Proceeds benefit the troop and its efforts to attend Boy Scout camp over the summer.
