Avon Volunteer Fire Department Extinguishes Fire

The fire was reported in a parking lot on West Main Street.

On Wednesday at approximately 11 p.m., the Avon Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the parking lot at 255 West Main St., where an asphalt sealer had caught fire.

Engines 7, 10, 11, and 14, as well as Brush 15 and Fire Police responded.

Due to the contents of the container, firefighters allowed the fire to burn off for 15 minutes before extinguishing the flames.
