AVON, CT — Volunteers are being sought for a special work project this week that will rid a popular Avon recreation site of literal thorns in people's sides.
A volunteer effort will take place Friday, Oct. 17, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Fisher Meadows' trail head, 296/291 Old Farms Road, Avon.
