Families Invited To 'Teddy Bear Lunch' In Avon

AVON, CT — Adults and children must pay for lunch on Saturday at the Avon Congregational Church's "Teddy Bear Lunch," but the bears are free.

The church, located at 6 W. Main St., Avon, will have a variety of tasty lunchtime offerings for families from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the event itself featuring a full Teddy bear theme.

For example, photos will be available with "Big Bear," and there will be sing-a-longs and other fun activities.

The kids-friendly menu features macaroni and cheese; pulled chicken sliders; veggie sticks, salads, and "yummy deserts."

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children and they can be purchased at the door with cash or check only.
