Major Cookie Seller Opening Shop In Avon This Week

AVON, CT — A new sweet shop will open in Avon this week, one that would probably get one popular Sesame Street character particularly excited.

Boasting enough delectable cookies to make Cookie Monster salivate, a Crumbl cookie shop franchise will have a "grand opening" on Friday, Dec. 15, in Avon, at 315 W. Main St., Unit 113.

A sneak-peak media event is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 13, with a "soft opening" Thursday, Dec. 14, at 8 a.m. to work out any potential operational kinks before the big day Friday.

The franchise is a family affair and it is owned by Jake and Hannah Ostrom, who have three young children together.

It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

According to an announcement from Crumbl, a national company based out of Utah, the grand opening week menu will consist of six of the 250-plus, weekly rotating flavors.

Among those cookie offerings are Crumbl's classic Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk.

Fans of Crumbl usually check the franchise's social media accounts to find out what is being offered in a given week.

The posts on menu offerings are done every Sunday at 6 a.m.

According to Crumbl, customers can order in person during the first five business days of the grand opening.

But, starting Wednesday, Dec. 20, delivery, curbside pickup, catering and nationwide shipping will be available via the Crumbl App or online at crumblcookies.com.

According to Crumbl, customers who have downloaded the app can also enjoy a special grand opening 30-day promo code, valid for one free cookie at the Avon location beginning Monday, Dec. 18.
