New Avon Webpage Helps Folks Donate To Community Causes
From the food bank to the fuel bank and the senior center, the new Avon webpage provides one place for people to support myriad causes.
AVON, CT — Town officials are asking the Avon community to take advantage of a town website that provides an easy means to support the community financially.
That's because Avon offers online donations to help fund "vital programs that support our community."
Those causes include the Avon Food Bank, Special Needs Fund, Avon Fuel Bank, Avon Senior Center, and the Avon Pet Pantry.

"Every donation helps provide essential services to those in need right here in Avon," wrote the Town of Avon.
Such generosity is especially needed as the federal government is about to eliminate SNAP food assistance benefits for millions of Americans, including children and the elderly, due to the shutdown.

Other economic stressors, including inflation, are making groceries more and more unaffordable to many.
