Volunteers from CL&P and other Northeast Utilities Companies are preparing for the Special Olympics Winter Games on March 1 and 2. Other competition sites include Ski Sundown, the International Skating Center of Connecticut and more.
The donated snowmaking guns at the CL&P site will run through the night in the last effort to prepare the site for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing competitions.
"Hopefully mother nature co-operates," said Mitch Gross, head of media relations for NU.
Volunteers seen in the video include Bud Meyers (hat), Joe Langer and Stephanie Bartholomew.
