Popular Avon Church Dinner Is Back This Friday, May 2
The monthly 'First Friday Dinner' will take place at the church, with the event's well-known 'dessert buffet' always a big draw.

AVON, CT — The next installment of the "First Friday Dinner" program at the Avon Congregational Church will take place this Friday, May 2.
The dinner is at the church, 6 W. Main St., Avon, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Join the church community for a meal of baked chicken with a velouté sauce (a savory sauce that is made from a roux and a light stock).
This month's entrée is served with rice pilaf with vegetables, dinner rolls, salad, and the always popular dessert buffet.

The meal also includes coffee and tea.
The dinners are $20. No reservations necessary. Take-out is available.
