5 Years After Covid-19 Horror: Berlin Library To Host Special Forum

The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library on May 1 will host a panel of local/community leaders to reflect on the fifth anniversary of the pandemic.

BERLIN, CT — Many would probably like to forget it, but the COVID-19 pandemic's most horrific impacts hit the state, country, and world five years ago.

To commemorate that solemn anniversary, the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library on Thursday, May 1, is hosting a special panel forum called "Reflections on a Pandemic: 5 Years Later."

The event will take place at the library, located at 234 Kensington Road, Berlin, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

"It is our hope that, not only will this panel discussion serve to recognize and remember a significant historical moment from a variety of perspectives, but will also foster deeper understanding and appreciation of the collective efforts that helped our community endure and move forward," wrote the library in an announcement.

The panel is expected to include representatives of the Berlin School System, the Berlin Fire Department, community leaders, and town officials.

All will share their recollections of what their life was like five years ago and how their lives have changed since this "worldwide experience."

There will also be time for a question-and-answer session from the audience.
