Armed Robbery Reported At Business, Suspects Sought: Berlin Police
Officers from Berlin, Newington, New Britain, West Hartford and State Police searched for the suspects who fled on foot, police said.
BERLIN, CT — Police are investigating an armed robbery of the Citco gas station on the Berlin Turnpike.
At 1:31 a.m. Friday, two men with ski masks entered the store and pointed a firearm at the clerk and then stole an undetermined amount of cash from the cash register and fled north on the Berlin Turnpike into Newington in a Uhaul van, police said.
Newington police spotted and engaged in a brief pursuit with the suspect vehicle, ending on a dead-end street with the suspects fleeing into a wooded area on foot, police said.

Officers from Berlin, Newington, New Britain, West Hartford and State Police responded and set up a perimeter and the area was searched with K-9 units and a drone but the suspects were not located, police said.
The suspect vehicle was seized as evidence, and the clerk was not injured during the incident, police said.

The same suspects may be related to several robberies prior to the Berlin robbery, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Berlin police at 860-828-7080.
