Basketball Program For Middle School Girls Announced In Berlin
The free program starts next week and continues through March.
BERLIN, CT — Local girls dreaming of becoming the next Paige Bueckers or Azzi Fudd can get a start with a Berlin Parks and Recreation Department program starting next week.
The department is hosting a free program called "Girls Drop-In Basketball" for girls in grades 7 and 8.
It will take place over several Mondays over the course of the winter through March.

The program will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. at McGee Middle School, which is located at 899 Norton Road, Berlin.
Monday night basketball starts this Monday, Jan. 5, and continues Jan. 12, Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 23, and it concludes on March 2.

"Come hoop, play, and have fun with friends," wrote the Berlin rec department. "All skill levels welcome. Just bring your energy and love for the game."
While free, the program does require a waiver, which is available online at Webtrac or at the door.
