The shop, which also operated an extensive online ordering system, claims its former owners/staff have been threatened with violence.

BERLIN, CT — A well-known collectibles retailer in Berlin abruptly shuttered late last month and many are still wondering what will become of unfilled Pokemon/sports card orders.
Meanwhile, the store's owners claim that they and former staff have been victimized by "violent threats" against their safety amid the situation.
Clutch Cards LLC operated a store in Berlin at 848 Farmington Ave. and, while it featured a diverse selection of beloved collectibles, it also operated a busy mail order/shipping operation.

In the message, Clutch said it has canceled all orders and it is unable to provide refunds yet, citing "financial limitations."
While unable to give customers their money back for unfilled orders, Clutch said it aims to eventually be able to give refunds, but it cannot right now.
"We are diligently exploring all options for resolving this complex situation. We are committed to resolving this issue and aim to provide refunds when feasible," wrote Clutch.
"We are actively seeking solutions and will keep our customers informed on progress and potential timelines for refunds."
Meanwhile, the store's owners are reporting a series of threats being made to those who operated the store.
Clutch has created an email address for folks to inquire about their situation at support@clutch.cards.
But, Clutch has warned, "customer support remains available but with limited capacity."
"Responses may be delayed, and we appreciate your patience and understanding," wrote Clutch.
Clutch officials claim they have been victimized by "violent threats" and owners/staff have limited their social media presence because of that.
"We are dedicated to maintaining a respectful and threat-free environment for our team and community," wrote Clutch.
"We take these matters very seriously and are working with the appropriate authorities to address any threats effectively."
